Spinal Inhibition

Spinal inhibition is an osteopathic manipulative technique in which the fascia around the spine is softened in order to decrease the sympathetic (fight of flight) output from the sympathetic nerves which arise from this area.

These nerves create tension throughout the body and can affect the internal organs as much as they can affect muscles. This release is especially beneficial for people who have gastrointestinal issues, elevated or Irregular heart rate, and breathing difficulties.
